Meet the artistic leadership and creative network behind RESONA, and the point of view that guides its commissioned cultural experiences.

At its heart is a belief that the most memorable experiences are created when different forms of artistry meet with intention — when music, place, gastronomy, wine, craftsmanship, and human connection become part of one unfolding experience.
The House is where these worlds come together.
RESONA works through a growing constellation of artists, artisans, makers, chefs, wine professionals, cultural voices, and distinctive places. Some are established masters. Others are emerging talents whose work deserves to be discovered.
What connects them is not a category, but a point of view.
A respect for craft.
A sensitivity to beauty.
A desire to create something meaningful rather than merely impressive.
Kyungmi Nam is a classically trained pianist, and her Carnegie Hall debut as the recipient of the Young Artist Piano Award by Artist International was the beginning of a lifelong education in listening. Music taught her how to shape time, how to build contrast, and how to understand a room through sequence: what comes first, what is held back, and when silence does the work.
RESONA began from that instinct. Having programmed intimate salon evenings in New York, including the Classical at Cornelia series, she saw how much changes when music is placed in the right room, in front of the right people, with nothing added for effect.
RESONA extends that thinking beyond the concert stage. As Creative Director, Kyungmi shapes the artistic direction of each commission, choosing the musicians, makers, and places that give an idea its language, and guiding the experience from its first note to its final detail.
Each collaboration begins with the character of what is being imagined.
The right craft.
The right culinary artist.
The right atmosphere.
The right music.
The right scent.
Sometimes the connection is obvious. Sometimes the most compelling experience comes from bringing together people and disciplines that have never occupied the same space before. RESONA looks for those possibilities.
The artists and collaborators within the House are not simply providers of individual services. Their knowledge, personality, technique, history, and way of seeing become part of what guests encounter.
A master craftsman demonstrating a centuries-old technique.
A musician revealing a familiar work from an entirely different perspective.
A chef interpreting the character of a place.
A winemaker sharing the story held within a particular vintage.
These encounters create something that cannot be reproduced through production alone.
To the imperfect detail.
To materials that carry a history.
To knowledge passed from one person to another.
In a world increasingly shaped by the instantaneous and the interchangeable, RESONA is drawn to things made with time.
This may reveal itself through a live demonstration, a commissioned object, an intimate performance, a particular ingredient, an instrument, a piece of furniture, or a keepsake created especially for an occasion.
The form changes. The principle remains:
What is made with care is felt differently.
New artists bring perspectives.
New places introduce different elements.
New collaborations opens possibilities.
The House grows through relationships, curiosity, and discovery. It is less a collection than a living network of ideas and people — connected by a shared belief in the power of culture to bring us closer to one another.
This is the world of RESONA. And every commission offers another opportunity to expand it.
